Is this being done to revive a great character? Or is it being done to bring "diversity" to a once great character because they feel it was a "mistake" made the first time around?
I remember a time when actors were chosen REGARDLESS of skin color, not BECAUSE of it. So is this going to be a TV show or a cause?
Not much info is out on it yet but I'd guess that a few characters from the original show will be revived at one point and another.
One character I'd like to see appear is Andrew J. Ferchland reprising the Collin/Anointed One character.
Somehow resurrected in the form of the actors current age. Then who knows, maybe get Spike involved too at some point since he killed the character back then. With the Lola fx technology, he could look just like the Spike we remembered.
Anyway, I'm sure it'll be a tv show. Hopefully, one that will be on Hulu.

Your living in the SJW era now.It's a world where casting wise race,sexuality and gender are held in higher regard than actual talent and maintaining SJW quota's are more important than quality content.Just look at The CWs Charmed and Supergirl.Both truly terrible shows that care more about appearing diverse than they do about telling a story.
As far as the reboot i believe i read it was a continuation featuring a new slayer.Which sounds a lot more interesting than taking a fan loved character and altering them for diversities sake.And it leaves the door open for the original cast to possibly make appearances.
There is always supposed to be a new slayer after the 'current' one is dead--so yes I would be up for a new one IF they did not also call her Buffy but gave her her own era...etc.
Supergirl did deserve a remake. Like the BTVS movie (which the TV series DID come from) the 1984 movie was horrible.
Two drunk truckers repeatedly fail to realize 'superman's cousin' is the real deal....and continue to try to attack her in an alley....before they are disposed of. Yes it's funny seeing them get their just deserts, but she could have merely just flown off at the first sign of trouble
Although I agree that there's always an SJW angle to these moves I also think it's a desperate ploy to appear creative.
