Lots of great characters who could have returned although you have to remember it would be hard for the casual viewer to follow (think Dollhouse)

I think Kendra would of been a great one. I wished the final episode had the first appearing as Joyce, Tara, Jenny, Kendra and Angelus before appearing as Buffy to speak to her the night before the big battle.

I read somewhere that she was unavailable to return.

That would have been nice. She could have been used to remind Buffy about the short life of the slayer.

I agree and I also would have liked to have seen Amber Benson play the First Evil too.

Wasn't that the intention in the scene with Willow?
My understanding is Amber Benson was asked to do it but declined.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
