Favourite One Time Villains

GO

Mine would be.

1/Luke

He was just a Vampire but I liked how fanatical and mad he was. The bit where he gets angry that there are no volunteers to be killed always makes me LOL as does this line.

"Ladies and gentlemen there is no cause for alarm. Actually there is a cause for alarm, it just won't do you any good".

Also props to him for being one of the only Vampires stronger than a slayer.

2/ Kralik

The most twisted Vampire in the series, I thought the actor did a great job with him, though to be fair he's used to playing nutters!

3/ Skin Eating Demon

This is by far and away the most frightening Demon in the whole series. The way it speaks in that horrible little sing song voice, its horrific appearance and what it does to its victims is serious nightmare fuel.

4/ The Gentlemen

A classic Buffy monster, the Gentlemen are a perfect blend of brilliant camp and unremiting horror. What they do to their victims seems to be a common trope of Joss's, someone being unable to scream whilst something horrible happens to them. We see this with Warren getting his mouth sewn shut and the skin eating Demon too.

5/ Der Kindestod

Quite an underrated monster, the bit where he murders Buffy's cousin is IMO one of the scariest moments in the whole series.

Sunday, loved to have seen more of her, especially if they followed the vamped Slayer storyline.

They should've followed the vamp Slayer story with Sunday.

1: Sunday- especially if they had gone with the slayer turned vampire plot

2: Giles as a Fyarl demon. One of my favorite episodes ever.

3: Ethan Rayne: Not technically a one-off villain, but he has few enough episodes to count, I think, despite his history with Giles. (Four episodes across three seasons? Do I have that right?) The way he was showing up almost randomly, and the things he was doing, I would have loved it if he had been the season 4 big bad instead of Adam. That was the last season we saw him. Damn shame, too.

4: Dracula: I know a lot of people hate this episode, and it definitely has a campy feel to it, I'm not gonna lie. But it was fun in it's own way, and Dracula is clearly pretty powerful. Buffy didn't actually manage to kill him, so he could still have been out there using those unique powers to cause some havoc. Maybe if he'd shown himself to more of a badass over time than in the initial episode, he wouldn't be quite so hated.

5: The Judge: Something about a Brian Thompson character, man. Luke was also fun. The judge had a subtle humor to him, and I loved his unfamiliarity with the current age. One of my favorite lines in the entire series was him looking at the rocket launcher Buffy was aiming at him and just going "What's that do?" Plus, his continued existence could have meant more fun with Angelus, rather than the Acathla plot. The Judge could have been the big bad, and Angelus could have continued as a longer arc, perhaps for the whole series. I always kind of got the impression that David Boreanaz had more fun playing Angelus than Angel. Even on Angel, the character was fairly reversed: Angel became the spirited one, and Angelus became broody.

Kralik.
Holden.

I also really like Faith's perspective of Buffy as the villain in her dream in This Year's Girl.

Too many to mention but my top 3 would be

1) The Judge
2) Kakistos
3) D'Hoffryn (D'Hoffryn could have been really interesting as a main villain of a series)

And not a villain but Sid the Dummy.😂
