Realising that this is NOT a kid movie! Too many bad words and scenes

I watched this movie as a kid and now watching it as an adult with my 8 year old Niece I found myself skipping a lot of parts & thinking how was this a kid movie??? How did Disney Channel play it so much with the language and other not so kid scenes? As a kid I didn't pay attention to what they were saying, I just like tell plot of them switching places.
When I watched it recently I found a lot of things wrong:
1. Hayley doing a strip tease/table dance in front of the whole school with a tight skimpy leather outfit on.
2. Alex tongue kissing her boyfriend every 20 minutes.
3. Hayley saying that Alex had sex with her boyfriend & then was shocked to find out Alex was a virgin and Alex saying "Yes IM A VIRGIN!!!"
4. Alex wearing tight outfits in every scene.
5. Alex having a different guy we very week.
Where's the kid parts at?

You watched it as a kid and you grew up fine, right?

Loosen up.

Alex tongue kissing her boyfriend every 20 minutes.

No she didn't. We mostly saw Hayley in Alex's body making out with him until Alex in Hayley's body told her not to do it anymore since it was wrong.

Alex having a different guy we very week.

No she didn't, again. She was dating Kyle until she dumped him but they got back together. Hayley in Alex's body was interested in Simon.

I would always rather be happy than dignified. 

Where were the bad words? I didn't hear any. And issues with "tight outfits" probably falls into the slut-shaming category and is subjective on your part but it definitely does not actually negatively effect kids to see someone's naval. Alex did NOT have a different guy every week, nor was that implied at all. There was a rule they couldn't have a boyfriend for more than three months - which isn't a terrible "rule" for teenagers who don't need to get so serious so soon. And in this case there was only one boyfriend, Simon was interested in her sister, not Alex.

Also, I watched this as a kid and I watched this as a mom with my six year old when I was looking for something to watch with her on netflix that wouldn't bore me to tears with one inane everyone-gets-a-trophy bull *beep* plot. I didn't skip through any of it, even the virgin part. Because guess what, when you're a little kid and you don't know what something means, you just ignore it, because that happens to you like a billion times a day. You don't pick up on it because you aren't supposed to.

The "kid part" is the whole premise of they wished upon a star and switched places and they're in high school and have "cool" clothes and friends and science projects and yeah right, like you and everyone else didn't eat that up when you were a kid.
