His character was from an ep of the tv show. Just like the cheerleader Greg was with. In that ep, Greg was a judge for the cheerleader tryouts and voted for her to avoid a conflict of interest of voting for his sister. Alot of what's in this movie references eps of the tv show. It's a nod to Brady Bunch fans.
