What was with the way Marcia pronounced things?

I admit I always wondered the same myself but never understood why... I recently saw on YouTube some scenes from the origina tv show and people there Were making fun of her (Maureen McCormack's) pronunciation like "Hey Guys, Eu My Neouusee (Nose)" so maybe it's referencing the original Marcia's pronunciation... But im really not sure as well.
shareWell, obviously, it's referencing Maureen McCormick's original pronunciation, it wouldn't have made it into the film otherwise, duh.
I believe Ms. McCormick is from California, So. Cal at that, so that kinda rules out a regional accent, unless her parents were from somewhere else and she inadvertently learned the pronunciation from there.

The way she said "skyewl" made me laugh SO hard. It's not really a regional accent Maureen McCormick had, but one of an entertainer in the 70's. I'm sure if any of you have seen an old movie you can notice an accent like British and American mixed. This type of accent (and variations of it) lasted up until the early 80's. Sounds weird, but what you're hearing is a 70's accent.
