Ugh!! *SHIVERS!!*

Is this the movie where the one guy is kidnapping the blonde wife and pops his tire on something, so he stops, checks it out and hurls the object that popped his tire.

*Cut To* A random shot of a *SHIVERS!!* black and orange Tarantula just running through the woods when suddenly *WHUMP!!* the object the guy threw impales the spider, which begins to spasm!!

Is this the film?? THAT scene gave me nightmares for weeks, as I have a SEVERE arachniphobia, but I'm curious!!

In "Kingdom of the Spiders", animal rights groups complained about 5000 spiders being squashed (typically from a distance).

In this movie, one is splattered head-on and I don't recall anyone whining about it... or maybe some good editing was used to replace a live one with a fake between shots... technology was sufficiently capable by 1996...
