Favourite scene.

What was your favourite scene.
I like the scene when marcia was brushing her hair and she saw greg.and said
"1,2,3,4,4,4" Or something like that.

reply

I don't know. There were lots of funny scenes.

I guess my favorite would be when they took Roy shopping and bought him a 70s suit. Then when they returned Mike Brady saw Roy with his new suit and said, "I have a suit just like that." Then Roy said "I know, you are wearing it right now."

I also like the scene when Jan was in the coffee shop with the store dummy and was trying to fake out Marcia that it was George Glass. All the kids in the coffee shop thought Jan was a performance artist and when she left the store, they gave her a standing ovation.

I also like this one scene where the Brady kids are returning from work and you can hear that they are listening to "Brandy". Not many young kids listen to the oldies station in 1996. Except for the Bradys.

The mushrooms were actually hallucinogens... drugs. They caused him to go "tripping with the Bradys."

reply

The drug induced hallucinogenic cartoon sequence was a way to give a nod to the lamentable Brady Bunch cartoon series.

My favourite scene has to be when they're watching Greg surf and then when Marcia gives him mouth to mouth he runs into the sea going "errmm something suddenly came up" heeheehee

reply

When the kids start singing on the plane and the flight attendant (sp?)tells them to shut up. When they're going back to their seats they're still singing and the only person (other than family) that is enjoying it is the nun who joins them with the tambourine.

Stewie Griffin: I don't need to $@%# impress you.

I have to say my favorite scene was at the end..

"My son was the first mate on that ship. That means I'll never get to see my son agian..Gilligin (sp?)" Whitehead
"And I'll never get to see my husband, the Professor." Mrs. Brady
"Isn't it possible tohugh that the Minnow just crashed on the shore of some uncharted desert island?" Roy

THat and the end where Barbara Eden as Genie shows up lol

I like the whole coffee shop scene when Marcia and Greg and both on dates. Marcia is explaining to the group the different ways she styles her hair. Greg is all enthralled with her and asks her to tell how she shampoos and conditions it. Then when Marcia's date says he's really into hip hop and Marcia says "Hip hop? That sounds like something a bunny rabbit listens to!" Then she says to Greg "Remember that time we did the Charleston? That was the absolute tops!" That part cracks me up every time. Then of course Jan and her date with "George" during that scene is hilarious too.

I also like the airplane scene when the flight attendant gets on the speaker and says "Will those of you singing and dancing in the aisles please sit down and shut up?" and everyone starts clapping, LOL.

"I am a circus freak...I just never joined the circus."

My favorite scene was definitely Greg and Marcia undressing in silouette and lusting after each other to the tune of "If Loving You is Wrong, I Don't Want to be Right." Too funny!

reply

Hmmm my fav scene is when Roy trips out on his shrooms. HAH. "Hello starshine... the earth says helloo" That's so off New School Willy Wonka.

reply

No, it's actually off Hair .... A Very Brady Sequel made use of the song Good Morning Starshine from the Hair cast recording or soundtrack in a way that was really funny and clever (accompanying Roy's "trip" into the world of the early 1970s cartoon series The Brady Kids). Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory simply referenced a line or two from the song without any real meaning.

Agreed! Funniest damn scene in the entire movie.

Marcia: One, two, three, four.. [noticing Greg undressing through the curtain]... four, four, four...
Greg: Marcia?
Marcia: [seductively] Yes Greg?
Greg: If Roy really is your father, then does that mean we're not brother and sister?

I might not have gotten that word-for-word, it's been a while, LOL. Hilarious scene though.

When Sam the butcher is spending the night with alice and Mike Brady sees him in the kitchen with a cigar.
Mike asks him what he is doing at their house.
Sam thinks for a moment and says "I'm delivering some meat"

I couldn't believe they wrote that in, it was great

Let's c I thought this whole movie was pretty funny but I really liked when Carol was telling her hair stylist about her sons & she put it like they were her husbands & then when Mike & the kids came 2 Hawaii looking 4 her he said "We all want to be gay". I just had one but what was it. Uh...oh yeah! When Cindy said Marsha was getting leied by those Hawaiian boys. Ha ha! One ?. What exactly was the drug Alice put -n- Roy's food? Cuz his little daydream was really funny & I liked the song they played. Plus the whole thing with Greg and Marsha. So funny! Sum1 said sumwhere else about Bobby saying he was a private dick. Pretty much that whole movie makes me laff. Sorry 4 rambling but I'm answering the post ? so yeah I'll go now.

I like the scene with Jan on the phone talking to a male escort service.
Jan: Hi, I would like to talk to a boy. Preferably, one by the name of George.
(Silence)
Jan: What am I wearing?(glances down)A bright red jumper with floral trim.
(More silence)
Jan: What do you mean 'take it off'?

I like the Brady girls African American counterparts.
'Moesha, Moesha, Moesha!'

the part in the hair salon where Carol keeps staring at the bald "Sinead O'Connor" lady and when David Spade was using a chainsaw on Carol's hair, lol!

The kids doing their song and dance routine at the mall fountain and Roy standing in the background smoking and putting his cigarette out in his ice cream cone.

LOL! My favorite part! His look of disgust and not wanting to be there with them is classic. The way the Brady kids are dipping their heads into the shot with those corny grins... Matheson made this movie worthwhile.

"I can't believe that Bryce prefers Van Patten's card to mine..."

My favorite scene was when Peter was talking with Roy and Roy pulls a set of numchucks out of his suitcase and demonstrates them. Peter says something like "Wow, can I try them?" and Roy hands them to him and says "Here, knock yourself out."

It's been a while since I saw this on TV, but I rember where the guy reveals his true plans, then repeats them in 70's Slang. All I rember is "or for the generation impared-"

My favorite scene is the whole airplane sequence, but some thing I Don't understand is, from the show Greg and marcia already knew that they weren't blood-related, so couldn't they have made out before that!

"When life gives you lemons, throw them back and demand cookies!"

reply

Oh Christ....the voice that Marcia uses when she is in the attic with Greg and they are looking lustfully at each other with "If Loving You Is Wrong, I Don't Wanna Be Right".

And the best line? "Thanks Marcia, you're the best sister a guy never had."
Ties with
"Oh my God, I'm tripping with the Brady's."

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-do or do not there is no try.

I thought it was hilarious when the kids were about to go to the pool and Mike said, "Now no fooling around you two," and they both stopped dead in their tracks. That kind of hinted that something had already happened. I think this whole movie is hilarious. I sing the songs all of the time.

The singers who "allegedly" doubled for the Bradys on "Good Time Music" (the airplane sequence) and "Time to Change" (the Roy gets a "groovy makeover" sequence) weren't too bad...

reply

Mine would have to be:

Roy: Carol, you're coming with me!
Cindy: You can't take my mommy!
Marcia: Cindy's right.....TAKE JAN!
