Were Billy and Jonas once coworkers?
I think there's some background information the viewers are missing with the dynamic relationship between Billy and Jonas. Billy seems to know quite a bit about Jonas, and what his personality is like. And there's also the fact that Jonas has an identical machine called the DOT3.
So, you can kind of infer that Jonas was once in Billy's inner circle, because this is why Billy immediately accuses Jonas of stealing his design of Dorothy. Jonas even knows that Billy sniffs dirt to predict storms.
I just wonder if there was some backstory that got left on the cutting room floor, regarding these two characters?
