Read it for yourself. Whitey need not apply for this job.

BLINDSPOTTING WAS COOL...AND WITH THOSE GUYS ON BOARD AND THE SETTING THEY DESCRIBED...IT COULD HAVE BEEN A COOL MOVIE...THE SETTING IS PART OF THE PLOT...IT ISN'T JUST TO HAVE THEM BE BLACK AND BROWN...HER WORDS ABOUT IT ARE THE ONLY REAL ISSUE I SEE.🤔

Making a film with a cast of a different gender or race etc doesn't make it any better than the original. Also doesn't "All black and brown" sound kind of racist in itself? And opportunistic?

I don't think I would watch a sequel with the original cast. The first one was good enough.

reply

Yes, there was a time not long ago when most of society said that giving preferential treatment based on race is indeed racist. Now it's okay, as long as the discrimination is against whites.

reply

It's become boring and just a cliche way of rebooting old ideas. "Black Female 007!" Umm yeah ok, how about they come up with some original ideas?

And the Left are definitely the new racists.

reply

The best response is to send a message with our money that we don't want this nonsense but the sad thing is that we have reached a point in this country where too many people are actually buying in and watching this stuff.

reply

People seem to be doing that. Some Marvel films have been underperforming as well as other woke films and franchises.

People are tiring if it.

reply

I hope that trend continues. The America of today, and the whole western world more broadly, is unrecognizable to me. It's changed so much just in the last 15 years.

reply

Even if they did throw in a white character or two, they would most likely have them be cowards or in some way sabatging things, with the "of color" characters saving the day.

reply

She should fund her own lousy movie like Kevin Costner did.

reply

Except that Costner's movie is awesome.

That's precisely what it is. And if it's so important that all the cast be "black and brown", why should Helen (a white woman) be directing?

reply

That's a good point. Doesn't she realize she's taking some underpriveliged black director's job?!

reply

I think most black and brown people would tell you that storm chasing is some white people shit. So I’m not sure who this would be for.

Also Helen Hunt thinks she’s qualified to direct a movie about black people at an HBCU?

reply

You make some good points. The idea was dumb all around.

reply

They're going to save the world using the content of their character.
