Haters don't hate. I loved this movie BUT...

Over all, I would say that Twister is better than Into the Storm. However, I.T.S. had one thing going for it that Twister didn't. The plausibility of its twisters.

In the 1996 film, the most annoying thing about it was the way the tornadoes just seemed to playfully disappear after they were done tossing around our lovable crew. They left in their wake sunny skies and singing birds (literally after the last one). That is not the behavior of a tornado. Just as it approached you, it will continue moving along to wreak more havoc in its darkened path beyond you. It is not immediately followed by singing birds and skipping horses. The only living creatures stupid enough to be that close to an active tornado are human beings. And if we're smart enough to regret our own stupidity, it leaves us bawling and pissing ourselves just thankful to still be in one piece.

But why does a movie need to adhere to logic for it to stand on it's own ground? It's a movie. The point of these types of films is to put the spectator right in the middle of the action, and for that you need a reason to see all these things happen before your eyes, thus you have characters surviving events that would kill them in real life. They're taking you on a journey. Stories are controlled environments.

Agreed. Everything doesn't have to be totally plausible. That's why it's a movie and not a documentary.
