Same here, I remember seeing it in the theater when I was in my teens and now watching it with my wife and children 20 years later.

Yep! And my first thought was, "holy crap, that's Philip Seymour Hoffman. But there's no way that's Philip Seymour Hoffman."

I read an interview with Hoffman in which he said he only did Twister for the money so he could move back to New York. It was in Esquire, I believe.
