Things You Learned About in Twister
Okay so here are a cpl of things I learned from this movie. Feel free to add any other ones that you've learned yourself
Jo's team apparently gets hard on's chasing the tornadoes
Melissa has never had steak and mashed potatoes and no idea how to eat them. Apparently her class eats caviar only
Meg likes to slaughter cows on her own. No serial killer warnings going on there
Having instinct is better than high tech gadgets built for that. I believe the original draft of the script went as follows:
Miller: Any attack made by the Twisters against this high tech caravan would be a useless gesture, no matter what wind power they have obtained. This high tech caravan is now the ultimate power in the universe! I suggest we use it!
Darth Bill: Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to predict a twister path is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
Miller: Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Extreme. Your sad devotion to that ancient instinct has not helped you conjure up the fifteen minute warning thingimagig, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the...
[Bill makes a pinching motion and Miller starts choking]
Bill: I find your lack of faith disturbing.
Jo: Enough of this! Bill, release him!
Bill: As you wish.
[He does]
Anyway, back to the list:
Jonas Miller is in it for the money not the science
If you are an obvious good hearted man but hang out with dick's...you'll die like a dick. RIP Eddie
There are times to act immature during a tornado, when you're at a safe distance and there are times when it's not a good idea. Like when you're practically in the twister. You'll get metal plates slicing your forehead
Meg is going to have to go buy some more cows since she kills them all at the same time. She must be used to Jo and her friends raiding her fridge
When someone says "no way" "it's not happening" etc, that's exactly what's going to happen in the next scene
The sheer act of simply mentioning an F5 twister scares the group enough to stop eating no matter how hungry they were
Melissa thought Bill chasing tornadoes was a metaphor. Meaning he probably never told her any stories or she thought they were all lies
Being a weatherman is something to be ashamed of and mocked for
Bills car insurance is going to blow his roof away. No pun intended (okay yeah I spent sleepless nights fantasizing with this moment)
Okay that was my list. I'll have to watch this movie again to find some more. Like I said, feel free to add some. G'night everybody
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe
