The ultimate buddy movie....gets all the details right

I would call this movie the 'thinking man's' "Entourage". Not quite as lurid/showy as the HBO show, but just as well written and a little deeper, in my opinion.

I'm sure women find "Swingers" amusing as well, but for a single guy (especially being the same age as the guys in the movie, during the mid 90's), this film really hit home. Liman and Favreau got every detail right....gathering to play videogames before hitting the town, grabbing latenight food/commiserating after a night on the town...the way guys try to build up each other's confidence after the end of a relationship.

There's not one moment in the movie that feels false. There are classic scenes, such as the telephone answering machine nightmare, a scene that should resonate with every single guy who's ever had to call a new girl he met.

The movie holds up incredibly well over time. I could watch it endlessly. Just a fantastic film.

Absolutely...one of the best "guy's friend" films ever.

Oh, yeah, this movie captures how the dating scene was in the 1990s for guys in their early 20s to early 30s.

I'd go one step further. I think it captures how the dating scene is for guys in ANY era. The only thing that has changed is the technology and how we communicate.

Yes. This movie's messages hold true to this day. I love the hell out of this movie.

I really like this film and think it shows men bonhomie in the best possible way. I loved all the male characters, even when they were being jerks.
