seeing most of the crew get killed by the borg??? This movie is very dark, dark as TWD show. Sure the tech is top notch but the story still pretty dark and bleak.

Because IMHO it’s simply one of the best Trek films. It has drama, action, suspense, tension, bucketloads of excitement, great writing & direction and fine performances from the whole cast.

Overall it’s a lot of fun and I loved it as I still do now.

It has a good mixture of suspense, action, drama, character development, and humor. It's just a good movie, that hits the notes of dark drama and genuinely funny stuff, and makes them work as partof the same story.
