Why did Michael Jordan live in a middle class home?

Like he's gonna use his real house.

I thought it was a nice sized house for a movie. It didn't need to be a super huge mansion. It's a kids movie.

Because it would seem too lavish

That did not look like a middle-class home. That was very distinctly either an upper-middle-class home, or a mansion in a community full of mansions. I mean, that house could easily cost a minimum of $3 million! Kinda out of the price range of many middle-class families.

Making the house larger, with jacuzzis, champagne, cigar smoking, hired girls in bikinis and his childhood friend having a good time wouldn't go with the image they were trying to depict of him in the film.

if that's a middle class home, living in a first world country must be nice :(

To show that he is a “normal guy.”

it looked bigger on the inside. i was thinking more so why wasn't he living in a gated community.
