There's nothing about "gay chickenhawking" in this tale, it's about abuse of power, period. Did you chew through the straps or did someone take pity and let you out for a little while? Sheesh, what a maroon.
.............
"But you can't have babies, Stan! Where's the foetus going to gestate? Y'gonna keep it in a box?!"
MuthasDayOut: Why would a gay person be more likely to abuse his or her child? Based on that, all straight fathers abuse their daughters...
shareIt was obviously an abuse-power kind of thing forcing the kids to do something they found disgusting.
If we think of the worst thing that could happen to us getting raped would be up there.

Because I was sexually abused as a child this movie was difficult to watch and I watched as much as I could. During their time in the Reform School the kids became sexual play toys for several guards (especially Kevin Bacon's character Sean Nokes). The movie focuses on the kids who were abused and their year long struggle to survive (circa 1968). If the kids didn't cooperate they were beaten. Not surprising this activity went unnoticed or was simply ignored by the Schools' administration. For the short time I watched this movie the stand out performance was Kevin Bacon. He was very convincing as the physically and sexually abusive guard. I'm a fan of Bacon's work because he dares to take on roles that are so diverse. I laughed so hard when he played the very self-centered Hair Salon owner in Beauty Shop. His mannerisms and hair style was a scene stealer. Anyway I digress.
Then the movie switches to timeline 1981. It is now 13 years later and two of the sexually abused kids (now grown up) enter a local restaurant and notice their nemesis (Kevin Bacon) having dinner. Both happen to be carrying a .45 or 9mm guns and decide this chance encounter is an opportunity for retribution. They confront Bacon at the booth where he's sitting and ask him if he recognizes them. He doesn't at first then his long term memory kicks in. The guys waste no time in drawing their weapons and firing several rounds into the now limp body of Bacon. They walk out as two restaurant patrons scream in horror. The scene reminded me of similar scenes in the Godfather, Goodfellas and Mobsters.
The part that disturbed me the most, especially in the book, is the scene where they make Lorenzo (I think) pray while pushing a baton up his ass. I hate paedophiles & when they attack the same sex it adds another dimension of evil.
shareWHAT?
So pedophiles who attack the opposite sex are less evil?? what the *beep* is wrong with you?
I agree with you 100%, mad_men. There is definitely something wrong with Solariize, if he/she believes that pedophiles who attack the opposite sex are not as evil as the ones who attack the same sex.
shareGay paedophiles are definitely worse. Messes the victims up for life.
shareI don't know man... If I was forced to have sex by a woman, that'd be horrible . I can't imagine if a dude *beep* me up at the ass. It'll destroy me for life.
Now, I don't know what's the female point of view ,which one's worse getting raped by a lesbian using some dildos and *beep* or by a male? For a female, I reckon it's somewhat similar and may not be much of a difference . I really don't know. But one thing's for sure, it is bad for the victims and equally worse when it comes to pedophile rape .
However, for a boy getting molested in the ass by a grown man is worse than a woman forcing a boy to have sex in the p.u.s.s.y ...If the woman uses toys to *beep* a boy up in the ass, I think that'd be equally bad..
Point is, the bottom isn't meant to be where the thing enters, so it'd *beep* up a boy real bad.
I am actually curious, what do girls feel worse, getting raped at the bottom or the p.u.s.s . Even though both are extremely bad, my guess is the latter.
Regarding evil ,they are bad equally.

I agree that was very disturbing.
A man can change his stars
Fear me, Love me, do as I say, and I'll be your slave.
Before that, we weren't entirely sure what exactly was going to happen to the boys. It's pretty obvious, especially if you've read the book, but it is the time in the movie where we are faced head on with what the boys will endure.
That, for me, is what made that line so disturbing.

Blogging isn't writing. It's graffiti with punctuation.
The part that disturbed me the most was watching that kid get beat up by an older kid, THEN get whipped by a baton and forced to eat off the ground, then later that night sexually molested. I understand these children did something bad to land them in the institution, but being subjected to that with no parents or authority to keep the guards in check from these kind of this was just awful. . .I'm very torn about children being in prison or not after watching this movie.
shareu think thats bad, the book was even worse. in the book when shakes was in the hole starving nokes came in with some oatmeal and then he said "cant have oatmeal without a drink it tastes like sh*t" then he peed on it then shakes ate it.
