Realistic Oscarnominations?

I know,Bay had done Bad Boys the year before and was mostly known for directing commercials. I know,its´ an actionfilm. I don´t remember all the best picture nominees but was this better then Fargo? No,maybe more entertaining but not a better film....better then The english snorefest? You got it.

Upon multiple views,you will notice how very welldefined and developed so many characters are but of course,a screenplay nom was never gonna happen. But.....here are The Rocks posthomous"real" Oscarnominations,starting with one of the five best "bad guys" EVER and a casting that never in no way could´ve been better.

Best supporting actor-Ed Harris(HOW was he not nommed for ANYTHING?Sick world.)
Best score(Zimmer and this to me unknown Glennie-Smith composed one of films 20 heaviest,catchiest,fitting scores ever. Bombastic and fittingly melodramatic)
Best Cinematography(John Schwartzman knew his shi- back in the day).
Best Sound(Duuh)
Best Art direction/Production design(If they didn´t shoot it in the real Alcatraz,I am very impressed with the feeling of authenticity.)
Best editing(Francis-Bruce manages to make even the worst chaos coherent,has impeccable timing and gives the film momentum and great pacing.)

So...it should have 6 Oscarnoms,academy douches,not one for sound. Why don´t you spit directly in the mouth of all those who love an actionfilm that is superb no matter from which view you look at it,pretentious or action with brains.....
