Story is just too derivative?
It seems the premise is just too similar to previous staple movies of the genre like Enter the Dragon and even the Mortal Kombat film that came out the previous year. What do you guys think? The voyage in the ship sequence is also very similar to Lionheart, where he also boats a "free" ride.
Does anyone know what other scripts he was offered around this time (1995/1996)
