Doesn't go far enough

I hate movies and stories that have lots of potential, and then it falls flat on its face without reaching even a tiny portion of that potential.

Think about a world where every single movie wouldn't HAVE to serve 'romance', how much more interesting stories could be told!

This movie could've explored the idea of 'multiplying ourselves', that most people have probably thought about at some point.. if only we could stretch a bit further, if I could split into multiple, where one would do the chores while I do the creative stuff, and third one could be doing some research while fourth one could be traveling the world and meeting people, and so on.

There could be more interesting personalities than the stereotypical 'gay' and 'tough guy' and 'disgusting, unhygienic idiot with something gross on its face at all times, spitting and splurging and using its mouth with something disgusting 99% of the time'-stuff.

How about a philosopher, explorer, skilled computer hacker, artist, skilled R/C operator, .. I mean, all you have to do is think about all the things you wish you could do simultaneously.

But all we get are a few stereotypes, because the story doesn't have room for more, because it has to wrap up the typical 'simp has to do the woman's bidding' crap, where all a woman has to do is nag and the man fixes and renovates everything for her, then she slightly approves and the movie ends.

Think if the movie didn't have to end that way, if there was no hag, but just freedom to explore this idea.. all the wonders that could be done!

You know when you make a copy of a copy, it's not as sharp as the original

I do hate when movies and shows end up catering to the romantic bullshit or something, but this was also a pretty long movie as it was, so it makes sense that they couldn't hash out everything we'd have liked (or maybe it just feels long sometimes because it had so much going on).

I do absolutely love the movie, though I don't much care for the wife and those issues, but oh well. The idea would be better for a show if you're wanting to explore more of the copies.
