I think that if Jaron Lanier ever saw that scene, he got real mad. First, they show this guy operating a keyboard in virtual reality, while, according to Jaron Lanier, the whole point of virtual reality was to avoid the use of "innatural" interfaces like a keyboard. Then, when Jobe electrocutes the guy with his sword, you see that he's actually electrocuted by sparks coming out of his glasses. And there I could imagine Jaron Lanier thinking: "So, who is the douchebag who built VR goggles with a high-voltage terminal?"
