Bruce Willis' Sex Scene with Judd Apatow's Wife

Just watched this again for the first time since it came out way back in 1996.

Pretty much rough and manly stuff all the way. Its so sad now to watch Bruce Willis at full force, but he was a true star and he's got some great actors surrounding him in this one -- Chris Walken, Bruce Dern(what a GREAT screen presence, that voice, how he looks -- unique), William Sanderson, and director Walter Hill's go-to weasel David Patrick Kelly.

All those tough guys and...a few pretty ladies for ...uh..decoration?

One of them plays a hooker, the actress does a fairly graphic sex scene(from the neck up) in bed with Willis and she looked familiar to me, and I looked her up:

Leslie Mann. Or "Mrs. Judd Apatow" as she is now known; she often appears in his movies and sometimes with her daughters.

But back in 1996...pumping away in a hooker role.

It all changed that same year...she met Judd Apatow when auditioning successfully for "The Cable Guy."

No more sex scenes after that? I haven't seen all her movies...

All these years later, and she still looks pretty good.

maybe that's the scene where he fell in love with her. i imagine even in Hollywood you see stars on screen and think "i gotta get me some of that."

Very true. Leaving aside "Me Too" harrassment, movie people who see people on the screen and are attracted to them end up being able to directly meet the objects of their desire...and ask them on dates and enter consensual relationships.

Famously, Jamie Lee Curtis -- back when she was young and fairly hot -- fell in love with Christopher Guest just WATCHING him -- on Saturday Night Live, I think -- so she called him up, introduced herself, got a date and ...the rest is history.

I looked up when Leslie Mann met Judd Apatow. It was in 1996 (same year as Last Man Standing) and she auditioned for The Cable Guy and as she left the audition, Apatow said to the others in the room "There goes the next Mrs. Apatow." So he KNEW. (Maybe indeed from seeing Last Man Standing.) And of course, she got the "Cable Guy" job but...that's showbiz. Power AND love.
