Walter Hill (Lone Wolf)

Director John Woo is great at action scenes, especially when GUNS are involved! Since then, a lot of american directors have tried to copy his style and in my opinion, all failed. Except MAYBE director Robert Rodriguez. The only American director to get it right is director Walter hill. In his movie, Last man Standing, his style of the gun action scenes are as close to John Woo as your going to get. This movie is worth watching for the gun action scenes alone! Check it out!

Where Desperado is at its best, such as the shootout in the cantina, I'd say Rodriguez hits Woo Standard. While Last Man Standing is not a great film, the actions scenes rule just as much. I love the early scene where Bruce blasts the guy who smashed his car in, and he smashes through the window and his corpse flips along the ground about 4 times. Plus, Ry Cooder's music is awesome.
