If it had 2 points in time, (no space/future theme), the movie would be amazing. Ive only seen it once, but i truly enjoyed it. Maybe not as a hellraiser movie, but as a popcorn/pure mindless entertainment flick, it was kool.
It pee's in the face of all that Clive Barker achieved in the first 2 films. Totally Americanised the plot and characers and turned it into cliched garbage. the thing that really annoys me isn't all the BS they bring in about the origins of the box, it's the way Pinhead and cenobites kill people left right and center with no motive other than death. This turns the characters into nothing more than a Freddy Kruegar/Nightmare on Elm Street killer.
If there's one series that didn't need to be Americanised, it was Hellraiser. There's no longer a brooding atmosphere or scares of any kind in the films, it's just cookie cutter garbage from retards who have no real conception of what made the series so good in the first place.
I wish I could see the original version of this movie, or at least read the script. *sigh* Anywayz I dont see why this film gets bashed for being Americanized and all this when HEllraiser 3 is a much worse case of that in my opinion.
