'It is not hands that call us....'

The Hellraiser movie has rules, and this installment broke one of them. Remember the second movie where Pinhead says, "It is not hands that call us; it is desire!" So using a robot to open the box shouldn't have saved that guy from the Cenobites.

Well, what your saying is true. But remeber from Hellraiser II, Pinhead was able to sense that it wasn't Tiffany that had the desire but Dr. Channard. So in Bloodline, Pinhead could sense it was John Merchant, that sought out Pinhead and was who opened the box.

Uh, actually all "it is not hands that call us, but desire" means is that Leviathan wanted Channard and so they are to just leave Tiffany alone. Most of the time it is HANDS that call them, because someone opens the box and they take them, in this very speacial case it was different and Pinhead had to instruct the female cenobite to basically lay off of Tiffany. The Robot thing is not "cheating" at all I don't think.
