Truly underated
I personally don't see anything wrong with this movie.
And any criticisms can be refuted easily.

Bloodline is my fave of the HR series, I have only watched up to Inferno and have only read the Hellseeker script. I love Pinhead he is the best horror character ever, hate Merchant and the last scene where Pin dies I've watched HR 4 so many times I know the whole move line for line (espically Pinhead's lines) but still the moment where he dies makes me turn away from the screen and sob. The first time I watched HR 4 was in a dark room alone, it was a great experience those people who critize Bloodline aren't really Hellraiser fans at all, their feeble minds could not possibly understand that movie!
shareLove this movie. Hate how Pinhead dies. I have wanted to know all about the puzzlebox and pinhead after seeing movie #1. This movie clears up all my questions. (still waiting for Jason vs Pinhead to emerge!)

Well, that's... disturbing. :|
"still waiting for Jason vs Pinhead to emerge!"
God noooooo!!!!!
This is a decent movie. How could people be disappointed with this film? I believe its a strong showing for a fourth entry in the series. The director was disgusted with it and put an alias name on it! It's really not THAT bad. I enjoy all the Hellraiser films I have seen (up to and including 5.) I wont lie though, the only thing that is a draw for me up to this point is Pinhead and to find out what hes up to in the recent outing. Its sad to see him less in the newer films. Bloodline feals like it wants to be an action movie, almost. I'm still waiting for someone to make a Hellraiser that goes back to hell again and elaborates on that setting some more. Porbably wont happen. Seems to me that Hellraiser is now pretty much dead. A big budget video game would be nice to see, but how likely is that to happen???
shareI still think this is the worst of the series, and pisses me off everytime I think about how it's just become a slasher movie. The cenobites kill off people which if true to the original book and film would never happen. And fooled by a hologram? WTF!! The number one Leviathan's Lt. couldn't be fooled by a hologram. The guy can see into souls, into flesh, into skin. He'd realise the guy was just a configuration of lines. Nothing else. Pleasure is their game. Read The Hellbound Heart.
shareThe only reason why everyone dislikes this movie is because its "Pinhead in space"
shareYeah its the only good movie that has horror icon in space (yes I'm including Jason X, it was HORRIBLE) because there is actually a purpose, I mean where else would LeMerchant build such a large configuration. Anyway the fact that movie is still good makes me ache inside because this means that THIS version is what the director considered bad, I can only imagine what his original version what have been. Also this shoulhd have been the end of the series.

I agree, this should have been the end of the series. This film was good for so many reasons.
It had a strong plot, the gory special effects weren't just for the sake of gore, and it was a much much welcomed return to something similar to the original Cenobites!
And while Pinhead was a little talky yes, I thought it brought us into the story a lot more, and his character was more fleshed out (no pun intended), than in the other films.
And it even had some interesting, not to mention GORGEOUS characters: John Merchant and Angelique!
Very cool...
If they insist on making more sequels of Hellraiser, they should try making them along the lines of Hellraiser: Bloodline and the original Hellraiser. They are the best of the series.
