Why didn't Pinhead sense it was a hologram?
Surely he can judge if a person is a person and where they are.. he doesn't seem oblivious to technology when he talks to the video camera at the start.
shareThe abilities of the cenobites fluctuate. At times it seems like they have some sort of extrasensory perception but here he's fooled like any other human being. I mean, a human would be fooled by such a realistic hologram, right? Maybe their abilities aren't "on" all the time and he was simply using his eyes and hadn't considered the possibility that Merchant wasn't standing in the room with him.
