Twin Cenobites, give me a break

I saw a scene about the way the twin cenobites were created (I haven't seen the movie) and I find completely stupid the way they're skin is as modeling compound ¿? What the *beep* I know this movie is far from being real but...this is completely unrealistic...SKIN'S NOT LIKE THAT

-It's the end of something simple and the beginning of everything else...

I think the most ridiculous factor is that the twins don't seem to be in that much pain, given the lack of sufficient screaming. In fact, that goes for the entire series - in a series were the villains are supposed to take pleasure from the torturous pain of others, the victims seem to suffer little given the horrific tortures they endure, i.e. they don't act like they are in as much pain as you would expect. Channard did seem to be suffering quite badly in HR2 though with all his screaming and whatnot, which made it that much more unpleasent to watch.

Well, I don't see many goth kids cutting their flesh apart and displaying it for all to see. Or pressing cheese wire into their faces. Or so on.

Also, the Cenobites aren't meant to actually BE in pain. Their pain becomes pleasure and ecstasy. Did you see Terri or Channard or Angelique wailing in pain with their transfigured flesh? No. They reveled in it.

ACtually they are kind of meant to be IN pain. That's the whole point. They revel in it as to them the sensation of PAIN is PLEASURABLE. But at the same time PLEASURE could be seen as PAINFUL. But that pain they enjoy. There isn't any difference. "Pain and Pleasure. Indivisible". No difference, the same thing. That's their gift and their curse and so many people can't cope woith it, such as Frank.

Yes.

It's still the same sensation in the nerves. Have a girl rub your ar tenderly, that's one sensation, have her dig her nails in violently, that's another. We'd call one pleasurable, the other painful. The Cenobites would probably see little difference BUT would consider the digging nails in more interesting and extreme.

I worded that wrong.

What I meant is that they ARE in pain, but they just don't show that they're in pain as it is pleasurable.

I can't recall the reaction of the "twins" when they were morphing. But I remember them looking pretty freaky.
