This is Adam Sandler's best film.

Hope he soon realizes that and I say this because he never talks about this movie(Not that I've ever seen anyway) but he talks about his more recent films all the time on t.v and such when he should be reminiscing about Happy Gilmore since it's still highly regarded as a classic.

Sandler's best comedy & it's not close.

Punch Drunk Love is best film though.

To be honest I've never watched that movie thoroughly. I always heard it's really good.

The appearance of bob barker was one of my favorite moments in the film.

1. Happy Gilmore
2. Billy Madisin
3. The Waterboy

After that it doesn't really matter. Though The Wedding Singer, The Longest Yard , and Bedtime Stories get honorable mention in my book.

Easily his best 'comedy' film (Punch Drunk Love is probably his best overall movie, though it's not my favourite). His weird "man-child" persona really works here and he isn't just making silly faces and voices the whole time. The film is no masterpiece but it's got some good laughs, the cast is great and the story is entertaining. It isn't just "Adam Sandler does silly things for 90 minutes" which is what most of his film are.

Punch Drunk love isn't a comedy? I'm asking cuz I've never seen it.

reply

No it's a drama. It basically takes Adam Sandler's movie persona of the weird, short tempered guy with a big heart and puts it in the real world. If a character like Happy Gilmore did exist, he would probably have mental issues and problems connecting with people. That's what 'Punch Drunk Love' is about.

Definitely in my Top 3 most favorite Sandler films, while Adam Sandler gives a good performance I thought Christopher McDonald totally stole the show as Shooter McGavin, plus the fight scene with Bob Barker was hilarious!
