The scene with Bob Barker should have ended at ...

Bob Parker being punched out, because "The price is wrong, bitch!"
line doesn't have nearly as much impact as what happened.

In fact, what happened in that scene was somewhat anti-climactic.

I disagree, it made it funny because Happy was a rager who always got into fights but then gets his ass kicked by a elderly man made it hilarious.

IIRC, the real Bob agreed to do the fight only if his character would win.

Honestly, Id told Bob we will pass. I love this movie, one of my favorites, but this scene always irritates me. I forgot where it was, but some places dont know who Bob Parker is, edited that scene out. I just saw that B. Stiller deleted scene and Im sure then there were other deleted scenes too. Honestly, I wish theyd edit the Bob Parker scene how the Op mentioned, the price is wrong bitch, end scene.

This whole scene ruined what Happy was, a "bad ass golfer" but he gets beaten by Bob? I always hated this scene.

reply

I didn't hate it but it was odd for Happy getting beat down after Happy had just beaten up a real live alligator.

I used to hate this scene too when I was a kid but I watched it today and was laughing during the fight. Getting his ass beat by an old man who looked badass doing it, especially when he's walking away shadow boxing LOL.

According to the Trivia section, Bob studied karate for years under Chuck Norris, so he would easily kick Happy's (or Adam's) butt!

I think it's hilarious. When bob knocks Happy out and then he starts air punching. Classic!

The scene should have ended with them still fighting, with no clear winner. That way, Bob Barker would still look tough and the plot of Happy getting in trouble for punching Bob Barker would stay in place.

I think it shows more that Bob Barker is a tough as nails old man than happy being a wimp. There were many scenes showcasing how tough Happy is; him taking on the hockey team by himself, the batting cage scene, beating up an alligator the deleted scene with Ben Stiller. He’s not immortal, he was put in the hospital by Mr. Larsson. You gotta admit it was completely unexpected, I’m sure most people figured Bob would get destroyed by Happy.
