Why didn't Morty recognize him? Or at least recognize his name when he came to decorate his new apartment with Shelly? Surely he knew what his wife DID for a job before he left her. I've seen this movie dozens of times but I just thought of that. Anyone else ever wonder about this?
shareBrenda mentions that she worked in Morty's first store and his first 15 stores. Suffice to say when she was with Morty she just worked in all his stores, making a career for him. When he left her, she had to get a job for herself and ended up as Duarto's assistant. Morty didn't have anything to do with Brenda after he left her so he wouldn't know who she was working for.
