I'm not sure what Melanie Griffith has to do with the First Wives Club, but I know there was a portrait like that on Goldie Hawn's character's wall in the movie. Any painting that is done like the one you described (Series of the same picture done in multiple colors on each) is based on Andy Warhol's work. You can view some of them online at:

The piece of work named "Goethe" is similar to what you described, I hope that helps.
"Come see the violence inherent in the system. Help, help, I'm being repressed."
Oohh and I saw a Tamara DeLempicka at her apartment too ;)

Melanie Griffith is not in this movie...did you mean to post this somewhere else?
shareNo this idiot thinks Goldie IS Melanie... Seen one 80s star seen em all, I guess to him.
I hate everyone, Dont care who knows it, or what they think of me.
goldie was a star in the late 60's & thru the 70's. her star faded in the 80's with 1 movie flop after another. her last good film was private benjamin in 1980. melanie griffith came to prominence in 1988 hit working girl (nominated for oscar).
shareTo be fair to the OP, they both (Melanie Griffith and Goldie Hawn) are blonde with huge, overly-injected lips...I could see how someone might mix them up. ;)
shareFunnily enough, in Working Girl, Sigourney Weaver's character has a Warhol-style portrait of herself so maybe this added to the confusion(?)
