Squeeeaaaal!
Gush!
Ya gotta be kidding, right ladies? "One of the best songs in a film, ever"?
Just off the top of my head...
Unchained Melody (Ghost) - the Righteous Brothers
This Is The End (Apocalypse Now) - Jim Morrison
America (West Side Story)- and just about all the other songs too...
Touch Me! (Rocky Horror Picture Show) - also Sweet Transvestite and several others
The Rose (film of the same name, sung by Bette Midler)
Old Souls (Phantom of the Paradise)
Thus Spake Zarathustra (2001: A Space Odyssey)no words, but what MUSIC!
Over the Rainbow (Wizard of Oz) - Judy Garland
Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend (Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (M Monroe)
and of course, dozens and dozens of songs from musicals such as
Rent
Chicago
Singing in the Rain
Guys And Dolls
A Star Is Born (especially Judy Garland version)
Yentl
on and on ad infinitum...
But hey, ladies...maybe you're just too young to know any better? Like maybe 12 years old?
klc, I'm 43, and I agree with the OP, so no need to make such comments because people aren't of the same opinion as you. Yes, there are other great songs from various films, but You Don't Own Me is sooooo catchy!
I was gonna let you *beep* me, but I got my rag, and I know how you hate a mess
I don't if it is Grace's version that is currently on an advert. But it's dramatically done. very different from Dusty Springfield's restrained version.
shareI just rewatched the 2nd half of FWC on EPIX and gonna flat out admit...I LOVE the ending to this movie! The 3 women singing their hearts out, dancing in the street in victory...epic ending! lol. more movies should end like that! Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade did similar. Kick a$$!
