A very well connected Hollywood friend assures me that there is a script already written that updates the story (and retains the lesbian happy ending that the book had for one of the leads). The studio is interested in Charlize Theron for the Goldie role, Melissa McCarthy for the Bette role, and Sandra Bullock for the Diane Keaton role.

Well your connected friend from Hollywood needs to get a bit more up to date.
Goldie Hawn , Bette Midler and Diane Keaton are currently making a new movie called Divanation.
It about 3 ex singers meeting up again.
Should be hilarious.

Funny how Hollywood waits too long to cast the perfect people or casts too young. It’s gotten corporate on top of corporate.
