…the remixes of Closer were used way too much in this movie. At first I was pleased to hear them on the soundtrack, but by about the fourth or fifth time it was getting repetitive.

Yeah, I kinda agree. Although, I always loved how it was played during the shower scene with De Niro and Del Toro - it makes me laugh for some reason.

It sounds awesome, as does all the NIN-like stuff Gregson-Williams has done for scoring Tony's flicks.

Closer is one of my favorite songs, but it was definitely overplayed in this movie. I think the scene where Robert De Niro throws the knife into the door and it's playing was a good scene and the music fit. HOWEVER, the scene where the little boy is running away from him (trying to escape) and it's playing is just weird. The lyrics that are sung as he's running away "I wanna *beep* you like an animal"....... lol really?
