Calling Dr. Myrick, Dr. Mingus, Dr. Manko!!!

Has anyone noticed, and how could anyone not notice, the strange names of the doctors in this film? I know often times names are used by the writer to convey personality traits, but these names are just plain weird. Dr. Myrick. Dr. Mingus. Dr. Manko. Not to mention the patient, Claude Minkins! Any Thoughts?

Someone involved with the film had some fun with the names...

Burke and Hare (the names of the FBI guy and policeman) were infamous murderers from Victorian-era Scotland.

Charles Mingus was a legendary jazz bassist and Don Myrick played sax for Earth, Wind and Fire.

Manko is Japanese slang for vagina.

Shadrach Minkins was an escaped slave who left the south and made it all the way to Boston before being captured by US Marshals but was freed in Boston when a group of abolitionists helped him escape from a courtroom and flee to Canada.
