Is this the only Seagal death?

I've seen quite a few Steven Seagal movies, and I haven't seen him die in any. Yet when I was watching this for the first time, I thought to myself 'I wonder if there's ever been a movie in which Seagal's character was killed off?'. Within a minute of me thinking this, he was killed off. But that's beside the point. Are there any other movies where he is killed off?

I hope this will be the only one. I don't like him being killed off in his movies.

And this was not a "Steven Seagal" movie. He did not have a major financial stake in the film and his character's death is what allowed Kurt Russell's character to play against type and save the day without any indication that his character should be able. With Seagal in charge, it's a dead solid perfect lock that the day will be saved. That said, it was a smart move by Seagal to take the uncharacteristic character supporting role. He was terrific in it, and this is the best movie he's ever been in. (And although I recognize Seagal's limitations as an actor, I am a fan of his aikido and his movies).

i can't take it.

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

Do you understand what a "spoiler" is and why one should not be in the subject of the thread?

I hear ya, but there's got to be some sort of statute of limitations on movie spoilers, and Executive Decision is 14 years old now.

You're a dumbass if you read a forum regarding a movie before you even see it.

You are such a stupid kid!!! I'm reporting you AND ignoring.

IMDB has clear rules against spoilers. They, obviously do not think such people are dumbass. What are you, child? I like to pre-read some movies before I decide whether or not I should dedicate my 2 hours to it, and I can accidently see the forum headers on the main page. So why are you calling such people dumbass, genius? Live and let live, Amkus in whichever grade you are, you'll know it when you become a grownup!

So? Are you happy if you are not allowed to watch movies that were made more 14 years before you started watching movies? How do you come with these ideas? SERIOUSLY?

Seriously? I don't know, because I don't understand what you wrote. But, as they say on every Game of Thrones site and podcast, "if you go online looking for information about any movie, book, or TV show, expect to be spoiled." It's a good rule of thumb.

TheJoshMan- i really don't think anyone cares, you can't 'spoil' a Seagal film, that's been done already.

Joking, but seriously get over it.

amen

It should be against the law to use 'LOL'; unless you really did LOL!

reply

I'm sure that Seagal didn't want his character to get killed. He would have preferred saving the day, killing all the terrorists, landing the plane and then scoring with a delicious Halle Berry.

reply

To bring this back to the poster's original question...

Not anymore... go see 'Machete'.

Doesn't his contract say he cannot die in a movie? Perhaps cases he would die would be at his own hands (he chooses to), or as sacrifice for something great. It's a martial arts culture thing maybe? Those guys don't die, they just get knocked out, and guns are frowned upon greatly.

I didn't stopped watching this movie after Steven Seagal's death because I kept thinking to myself that somehow miraculously he survived and was preparing to counter attack. What a let down :(

You blocked me on Facebook...and now you're going to DIE!

he's the bro!

Yet he died by his own hand in Machete. So obnoxious.

reply

He died in all his movies... He just didn't realize it.

No this is it. I looked at his long list of movie credits and this is probably it. He has an interesting background and in a majority of his movies he pays a very strong character. In the 'Glimmer Man' he played opposite Keenan Ivory Wayans and did ok. Wayans had a stronger on camera presence.
