What happened to Jaffa? (Spoilers)

So I was watching this movie yesterday, and the last time we see Jaffa is when the government decides to release him, and Jaffa tells Hassan that he'll be flying to safety, but Hassan simply ignores him and decides to continue his plan anyway. What do you think happened to him?
