52 million for 1000 EM guns?
So each one costs 52 grand? Damn that’s expensive
shareThat also was a bit more money back then than it is now. I like the scene where Arnold uses the rail guns. This was one of the last really good action films Arnold did.
shareIt don’t make no sense...
But rail guns are pricey even if they only exist in theory.
They do exist but you'll never see a handheld one. Like he said in the movie, they're usually mounted on ships. HELL OF A RECOIL!!!!
shareYes it would be a hell of a recoil but guns often have features built in to reduce the recoil.(I’m guessing we are supposed to assume that’s what they did in the movie) Whether a gun could be designed to handle that amount of recoil is another matter entirely (it probably couldn’t)
shareThe recoil would be mainly down to the mass of projectile being ejected .
I always thought rifles were really cheap for what they are
And fighter jets amazingly expensive for what they are.
Railgun is in between the 2 i guess
For such advanced weapons it was a steal.
