movie and book comparision *SPOILER*

*SPOILER*

I read the book a few years ago and I watched the movie yesterday.

story: The ending as the most important phase has the biggest influence on the impression of a story. In my opinion the ending of the movie was a bit better. The book somehow has an abrupt ending because it left me wonder what could have happened to the characters or how vaughan influenced them.
The ending scene in the movie is very strong. The characters are addicted to their car accident fetish and I love how ballard seemed so insecure and confused when he followed catherine before she crashed. Right afterwards he gets in a position under the car he could have been and they have sexual intercourse. After you watch the movie you know certainly that the fetish will kill them both. sooner or later.

images: very beautiful shots. I liked the locations, the grey suburbian concrete architecture which somehow reminded me of ballards other book : high rise.
the night scenes were also very nice to watch.

sound: The electronic sound was actually not bad with its metallic distorted sounds. but for me it was sometimes too loud. I think I could have enjoyed some scenes better if they would be silent because the acting and the images had enough power and nice aesthetics. The music dramatized it too much.

Excuse me for my bad English, its not my first language.
