Who the hell was 'Ray'... (SOLVED)

I asked Fairuza this and she didn't know.

In the bathroom scene, after Sarah has the nightmares,
the girls confront Sarah and she tells them things have gone
too far and that "People are dead, OK?! Chris and Ray..."
WHO IS/WAS RAY? Does anyone know the answer to this?

Before anyone says it, Ray was NOT the weirdo/homeless man
who got hit by the car chasing after Sarah. If people really
want to argue that he WAS Ray, how did Sarah know his name?

Was Ray part of a sub-plot that was deleted but references
were left in ala The Wizard Of Oz-Jitterbug Sequence?

"They'll give you no trouble, I promise you that! I've sent a little insect on ahead to take the fight out of them..."

I'm amazed that Fairuza Bulk supposedly did not know this. Ray is the only other character to die as a result of their actions - Nancy's step-dad.

Ok, did you even watch the movie?

Because he was Nancy's mom's boyfriend. The guy that had the heart-attack (after Nancy went off at him for going to hit her mom and then the microwave blew) and left them 175 thousand dollars.

How on earth could you possibly have missed this?

To be perfectly honest I had no idea who Sarah was talking about either. Now I feel like an idiot lol. I guess because we didn't see him much and well I just forgot all about him by the time Sarah mentioned it. I have seen this movie far too many times to have not known who Ray was.

You would be correct! His character had very small screen time
and when Sarah said Ray wad dead because of them I guess me and
A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE just forgot that Nancy had killed Ray
by inflicting a heart attack upon him and looked at it as he
had the attack as a result of everything else happening around him.

At the point she said it in the movie, he was kinda written off
and forgotten about I guess because he wasn't well liked either.

Just asking, how many time passed between the time Fairuza Balk acted in the movie and when you asked her, as time passes you sometimes forget things, specially things as little as that.

Don't let those "R u srius u ddnt no???" people bother you. Honestly I didn't remember who Ray was. Another way to find out was to look up the cast (he was uncredited). It saves you some hasslin' from irate imdb users.

That's evolution, baby. So mutate or step aside.

Ray was played by John Kapelos. He was the actor who played Detective Don Schanke on Forever Knight. He was killed off in the last season.

Actor John Kapelos was uncredited as Ray.
