Is it just me or do people like this movie a lot more now than when it was first released?

I remember right after this film was released a lot of people didn't seem to like this movie very much, then in the recent years a lot of people seem to have warmed up to this film.

Kramer and the Cable Guy is still better

Seems like just the opposite to me. It was naturally very popular back then and for years after. Now, it's hardly ever mentioned as far as Jim Carrey movies go.
