Why is he saying that? And if he felt it had gotten out of hand, why didn't he just stop the whole thing? Why bother helping Steven dress for the next battle and sitting him up onto the horse?
I thought the line was great. He broke character just for a moment to deliver that advice to Steven.
Ever hear the expression "the show must go on?" The Knights were basically actors themselves whose responsibility was to entertain the crowd. They probably figured that Chip was a little crazy, but didn't think any real harm would come of the situation (which it did not).
plus he is giving them all free cable so they might be worried that they will lose it
shareI haven't watched the movie in a long time, but if I recall correctly, it was established that it was not the first time Chip had been a knight for the giggles of it. Presumably, he was crazy, yet just safe enough.
