Nowhere near as funny as the original
I saw La Cage aux Folles when I was in college and died laughing. This remake is a subpar version that pales in comparison.
shareI've finally seen the original and I agree. I think we're in the minority but I'm happy to be. The Birdcage has it's moments but overall I prefer the original. The characters seemed more likeable and believable.
A little of Nathan Lane goes a long way, and I can't stand Val.
