Is it me or is Katherine a b itch?

She had absolutely no reason for leaving Val and not being apart of his life for 20 years-their was no animosity between her and Armand and she had no problem with going to the dinner and meeting him so why the hell didn't she at least visit him when he was a kid? I know she wanted to focus on her business and I guess she felt weird raising a child with a man who wasn't sexually attracted to her but that doesn't give her any reason to at least be some part of her own child's life!

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

She just didn't want to be a mother. Instead of having an abortion Armand convinced her to give him the baby. (and it's THERE was no animosity).
Just because there was no animosity or anything she made it clear up front that she didn't want to be a mother. She was a struggling actress at the time. She clearly states that the money Armand gave her for Val is what started her business. Now that she is a stable business woman and the fact that Val came to her (maybe she thought he might be uncomfortable her coming to him) is why she decided to do the dinner.
So basically she didn't want to be a mom but she wanted the money that Armand was going to give her to start her business.

I think she clearly says she wasn't interested in being a mom. She was a business woman. Armand wanted to have his son so he paid her. I don't think there was any hard feelings from any party about it. Val seemed happy. Armand and Albert were happy and Katherine was happy. Everyone won with the situation.

She was young and scared, and had no desire to be a mother. This was the best case scenario, IMO, and maybe she and Val will have some kind of relationship going forward. Who knows.

She certainly did a good thing for Armand and Albert. Not everyone is cut out to be a mother, or should be one.
