Hank Azaria was hilarious in this movie

Its a shame nobody ever talks about his performance, but he was hysterically funny, especially in the earlier parts of the film. I actually even felt bad for him when Robin Williams' basically berates him the entire movie.

I was actually hoping - in the end - they'd show a quick scene where he finally gets to become the drag queen dancer.

Oh, yeah, that would have been nice for Agador "Sportacus". But, he couldn't because of his "Guatualmaeness". lmasso.
OMG! Hank Azaria is such a versatile actor, it's almost sickening. lol. The voice change he does when talking to Val (while they were lighting candles) is so freaking sexy. & His physical comedy is abover par.

I liked the exchanges between Armand and Agador.

I love when he gives Armand the coffee and Armand says "what is this sludge?" and he's like "yes it's sludge..." lol. Then when Albert drinks and he's like "mmm Turkish coffee" and Agador hits Armand lol. That part slays me :)

I think Hank Azaria is such an underrated talent. He does several of the voices on the Simpsons too. He's always fantastic. So versatile.

Wow, he was hilarious in this. He deserves as much credit for this as Nathan and Robin get.

Very much agree; he was terrific.

But so were Gene Hackman and Dianne Wiest. They were revelations as well. One of the beauties of this film is that it does allow plenty of opportunities for the support players to shine and it wouldn't have worked as well as it does, without that great ensemble performance.

Gene Hackman didn't do a huge amount of comedy in his career. But I loved him in this, The Royal Tenenbaums and even Welcome to Mooseport, his final film before retiring that wasn't all that well received.

I also thought Armand should have given Agador a chance on stage--Agador has much more talent than the gum-chewing hunk Albert was rehearsing with. On the other hand, Agador has trouble with shoes, which is a bit of a problem...

Azaria is hugely talented--I've loved him in everything I've seen him in.

I totally agree. Armand could have definitely given Agador his shot even without the shoes. I liked his imitation of being Lucy and Ricky. lmasso

I agree!!! The funniest part for me was when he first met the senator and his wife. It was not so much the lines he said but the way he bowed deeply towards them and the way he fell down and has no socks on.... just got me laughing so hard! He got fantastic physical comedy going there.

How about when he falls answering the door (hysterical) and as Lucy's stunt double. The one the best movies ever.

He was actually brilliant in this film. He cracked me up constantly. I always looked forward to him in a scene. The talent in this cast is actually kind of mindblowing.

Val : You CAN cook, right?
Agador : Jour fodder seens to tink so... (bites finger)

so funny

The scene where Agador laughs when he sees Albert in drag is PRICELESS!

I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.
