Well, at least both sides were close-minded and intolerant
One thing I give credit to is that both Senator Keeley AND Armond are shown as being closed-minded and intolerant during most of the movie.
Yet both men seemed to learn something about the other as they BOTH had to somewhat walk in the other one's shoes by pretending to be something they weren't. It made for a very fun movie to watch.
I loved how the movie exaggerated the sterotypes of all the adults. All the actors did an amazing job, but Nathan Lane and Gene Hackman were standouts IMO.
