I made Timpano and it was great

I made Timpano. It was excellent. Found a recipe online.

Just my $.02

I know this is years later, but can you post the site where you found it? I would love to try to make it if I could.

Why did I write? Because I found life unsatisfactory.

I made it once, in combination with a friend of mine who didn't mind trying to make that huge piece of dough, and it was OK but kinda dry and didn't reheat well. The dough shell means you can't make the pasta as saucy as I like or it will fall apart.

I made it again as a timpano-inspired casserole without the shell, and it was spectacular--enough so that I made it again this Christmas Day, to follow a showing of the movie to my current fella. And it still looks right pretty in cross-sections when cut. :) Just layer up pasta with good thick sauce, little meatballs, hardboiled eggs, more sauce, cut-up pepperoni or salami of your choice, cheese, repeat all the above, end with pasta, cover, and bake till hot. Then uncover, add more cheese on top and bake till it browns. Yummy.
