I've been watching this over and over and it is so interesting how...

I've been watching this movie over and over again since it came out and one thing that is so interesting is how feelings toward it change over time when it comes to particular characters and segments.

For example, back in 96 or so, I was more aligned with the relationship between the male friends, and then as time went on, to me, the more powerful segments involved the father portrayed by Richard Bright and what it means to return home to a father and son.

Also, the search for the meaningful parts in life as one ages and just the process of trying to go "home" again.

And when the mood strikes, I still re-watch this movie.
