Cruella in Court Trial

Ok she is arrested and forgive me if this topic was already covered but it just seems strange that she would go to jail for so many years, only being released 3 years later due to her good behaviour and persistance to get out but during the trial Cruella being so wealthy, inheiritence and firm companies success that she would have the best lawyers in London defending her. She surely wouldn't just go to jail over dognapping 15 puppies etc. A 5 minute scene in the movie could have been a big help just to show viewers how it could all end.
In my own opinion the film did end a little too much like "They all lived happily ever after" theme. Perhaps it should have been like Cruella gets just a hefty fine for the dognapping, the collections of slaughtered animal furs and just have a crippled reputation.
The sequel then could end where she goes to prison because she was going to have Chloe and Kevin killed off after having her dalmatian fur coat.

And another piece of fun...Cruella could have sued Roger for all he's got for the video game in which he depicts her as the video game villian. I wonder how many people have ever thought about that one :)
This could have been a wonderful thought had it all been filmed for the movie :)
